Description
Well, this is a bit different from my usual. This is my first real attempt at digital painting. This is my favourite scene from CS Lewis's book The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, from the Chronicles of Narnia.
For those who haven't read the books, Caspian, Lucy, Edmund and Eustace are sailing towards the sunrise, to the eastern edge of the world. Here they are nearing the edge, and the water is sweet and still, and covered in lilies.
The fire birds are heading towards Ramandu's island, one of them carrying a fire-berry from the mountains of the sun, a daily gift for Ramandu.
About 5 hours spent on this so far. I'm thinking of taking the painting further, but I need spare time. Being my first painting, any crits or tips are appreciated.
